Heart and Soul Dog and Cat Rescue Society was founded in late 2015, when two small rescues came together to work to help unwanted and neglected dogs and cats. We are determined to put our Hearts and Souls into finding these precious animals, forever homes. We are a Rescue that is focused on spay and neuter – as the numbers are staggering of unwanted kittens, cats, dogs and puppies. It is mind blowing to think that 1 in every 10 kittens or puppies do not find homes.
We spay and neuter all of the animals that are in our care –also we have started a spay and neuter program. Through our program, when a litter of kittens or puppies are surrendered to our rescue –we will spay the Mommy, update her vaccinations if necessary, and return her to you (plus we will fix any intact male(s) in your home at that time as well). All kittens and puppies will be wormed, treated with flea medication, given the appropriate vaccine for the age, vet checked and will be spay and neutered at the appropriate age for the animal and adopted into forever homes.

The decision to spay or neuter your pet is an important one for pet owners. But it can be the single best decision you make for their long-term welfare. A USA Today (May 7, 2013) article cites that pets who live in the states with the highest rates of spaying/neutering also live the longest. According […]
