Place of Origin India
Origin Hariana, also known as Haryanvi cattle, is a breed of cattle native to North India. It is the native of Rohtak, Karnal, Jind, Hissar and Gurgaon districts in the state of Haryana.
Purpose The cows are fairly good milk yielders and bulls are good at work. It is an important dual purpose cattle breed of India.
Appearance The cattle are of medium to large size, and are generally of white to gray shades of body complexion. Face is narrow and long.
Horns Horns are medium length.
Cows Average Weight 310 kg (683 lbs.)
Bulls Average Weight 430 kg (948 lbs.)
Other Considerations The breed averages 1400 kg of milk per lactation but high producing animals will produce over 2300 kg in a single lactation.
